The Fountain Head. I bought this a decade ago but completed it now. I wish I had read it earlier. Ayn Rand did a wonder projecting an ideal man and his work ethic. The work ethic, which reminds one of Karma Yoga and Gita.
“Peter, before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done.”
“The lust of righteous anger, which is proper to all lynchings.”
“To sell your soul is the easiest thing in the world. That's what everybody does every hour of his life. If I asked you to keep your soul, would you understand why that's much harder?”
“Self-sacrifice? But it is precisely the self that cannot and must not be sacrificed.”
“Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savage's whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men”
I worked on spatial visualizations using Superset.
Next Saturday (September 7th), I’ll be at FOSS-United Foundation’s annual IndiaFOSS2024 conference. I loved it last year and I’m sure it would be better now. Unlike any other tech conference, it is more cultured and has a taste. Looking forward to the graffities, artworks and exhibitions they would put up.
I’ll present the open tools that UrbanEmissions.info has built to work with pollution data. Here is my proposal.
FOSS United Bangalore chapter people released the video of this discussion we had a couple of months ago.
