I finally dared to remove WhatsApp from my Phone (2 weeks now). It is only on my laptop now. A few of my friends were shocked that I did this. I thought I would miss out on a lot of things seeing their reaction. But I am still getting whatever information that I should get. Not immediately when the laptop is switched off— which is fine, I am not sitting on a nuclear bomb hot button. I can always reinstall if there is an emergency. Benefits — I felt reduced anticipation. I used to pick up my phone ~100 times a day and half of those pickups are meaningless and just of anticipation of some random message. Now it reduced to ~60 pickups.
I completed two parts in Larry Wasserman’s All of Statistics. I found this extremely helpful to read basics of Statistics. Other books I tried are either too introductory or heavy on jargon. This is a mind map of the second part of the book. I have implemented few of these methods through Python scripts.
I want to read the third part, but I have to give my Amateur Radio exam as well. So, till then, I will just implement remaining methods.
I conducted one writing session at HWC. This is the prompt if you’re interested to write — Till death do us part prompt. Heard a few nice stories :)
